 So here it is! The necklace my boyfriends mom made for me. I picked out the design for the C and Barb cut the metal, sanded and buffed it. The necklace is so beautiful I wear it all the time and it goes with everything.

Midnight Christmas Special

Merry Christmas! Here are some of my Christmas decorations. I couldn't get any good pics of them on the tree but my dresser worked nicely for them. Hope you enjoy.

Garland

I have been feeling inspired this Christmas season and have been making decorations like crazy. So much so that i haven't had time to put them on the tree! Here is a sneak peak of some garland i made inspired by a sale sign and pictures from an interior on another blog (can't remember which one. )

The Dish

I discovered porcelain markers this week and decided to make a set of dishes. I bought the plates at the dollar store and to my surprise they survived the oven. I can't wait to finish!

Paint

Found this plate shelf on the curb. Painted it, hung it upside down and it is perfect for holding my paints.

Fuzzy

These great illustrations come from Heejin Roh. I saw them at the School of Visual Arts gallery in NYC and picked up two cards with these illustrations that now hang in my room.

Perch

Found this headboard out for the trash. Painted it and attached fabric to the back.

Bird Day Afternoon

After visiting my boyfriend (almost every weekend) at his parents house I come home inspired. His father is a painter and his mother makes jewelry. She is currently working on a necklace for me which I can't wait to wear. I also have done some metal work that I thought I'd share with you. The earrings are made out of silver, copper and brass wire which have been soldered together and covered in a patina. The bird is made from the same 3 metals with a textured tail and patina feathers.

Sunday night I was up in NY to see The Great Jack O' Lantern Blaze. There were thousands of carved pumpkins.

Yesterday I went to see some of John Lennon's art work and songs. It was very inspiring and since i couldn't take pictures I wrote down some quotes to share with you that were just as amazing:

October is kicking off with a beautiful fall day so I thought I'd kick this blog off with a beautiful lamp. Found it for $1 and spruced it up with a big shade and a bow. I originally planned on painting it but had a change of heart.
